In this video, I’m on a short session, fishing a runs water for the first time, and I go through my complete setup. If I was starting carp fishing today, this is what I would do 😊
👉 Watch next: https://youtu.be/LzFina92brM

Would be so funny to see Matt on a Korda underwater video, he’s literally the opposite of finding every possible % to catch a fish with rigs and contraptions. Reckon fairbrass would have a total meltdown with Matt just going, ah just tie a bit of mono and a hook on and it’ll work

I wasn't sure about you before but I love this video. Your on the same wavelength as me. Old school.. I seriously think some of these youngsters today need to watch your videos. Down to earth rigs that catch fish , not the fisherman like a lot of crap out there at the moment. Just trying to get your cash.

I’ve sold all my high end gear, had a break and come back with 5000 reels and Avid 10ft rods and cheap Nash alarms £20 each and love it. No pressure to go because the amount I’ve spent. I just fish smaller lakes and and it’s changed my mindset completely. No overnight fishing either, so warm bed and kettle at home.

Matt, I just wanted to say that you have given me so much good advice, as I am new to the sport. All your videos and shorts have so many takeaways from them. When I first started carp fishing I had no clue what I was doing but when I came across your youtube channel, I was able to understand what bits and pieces I needed, not all those extra bits that you don't actually need.

Can’t agree more, sharp hooks and good baits will always serve you better then expensive rods and reels! I’m still using my 30 year old reels and they have never let me down and caught me some serious fish!
