  it is so clear how much they benefited from bringing back the entire same cast to the west end run. it really gave them time and space to ruminate on their performances and choices, and to deepen everything and make it way more nuanced the second time around. the performances on the pro shot are absolutely sublime and you couldn't have gotten those if not for the donmar run.

  obsessively analysing the differences between the proshot and this version is my favourite hobby rn<br>I adore this version too, this whole set looks so intimate

  My favorite detail in this version is at <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=owWD3b-o878&amp;t=7150">1:59:10</a> where Natalie doesn&apos;t notice Gabe touching her hand. The change of making her notice in the West End version had to have been very deliberate.<br><br>A small choice, but totally changes the emotional context of Dan&apos;s point of view: In this version, it represents Dan having to confront a reality where his son as he knows him was never truly real. In the West End version where Dan sees Natalie react to Gabe&apos;s presence, he suddenly realizes that all the trauma he and Diana have bared, they&apos;ve both passed along to their daughter, who will be forced to live with it as well; so he breaks down in guilt.

  I could go on and ON but I love this musical so much it&apos;s unhealthy at this point, I love how Diana and Natalie hold hands during Wish I Were Here as well! I also took multiple screenshots of Jack&apos;s face during I am the One Reprise just because of the acting UGHHHH MY HEART

  People don&apos;t talk about the costuming change between the versions. I like the new one for sure - more white costumes read much better against the often dark set - and reads better thematically for ghost/death and innocence
