I fixed my 06 softail by replacing the cam shoe with direct drive gears. And new cams. Yes spent a little money on this but my engine will not explode.

Years ago Harley’s had a larger intake manifold on the rear cylinder more fuel cooler rear jug rear cylinder also had oil splash on the rear cylinder which cooled it farther I don’t know when that all changed one other thing was leaded fuel kept valves cooler

I want you as my mechanic where are you located i just bought a 2017 ultra classic harley, they told me a battery died, so they removed battery, and have a trouble code engine light they said its a battery old code they didn't clear. I told him not to clear it untill i can get it cked out
