  Rwanda was not an offshore asylum processing centre it was a one way ticket if your claim was approved in Rwanda then you got to stay in Rwanda and it was only for one hundred people at a cost of millions , it wasn't an answer it was an expensive white elephant.

  Opening asylum applications in British embassies and processing them, providing safe passage for successful applicants and enabling people to enter the workforce immediately is the cheap and humane option. But that would stop refugees being a human shield used to deflect attention from the corruption in our politicians now

  Jeremy Hunt is leaving out the fact that those granted asylum under the Rwanda scheme in Rwanda, would not be coming back to the UK; they’d be staying in Rwanda. So what he’s insinuating is total BS.
