  I mean this nicely - your soldering would be much better if you applied solder to heated components instead of putting solder on the iron and then daubing it on. You’ll get more reliable connections more quickly. <br><br>What you did here can easily have bad connections beneath the solder. I hope it’s all great but it’s not optimal. And the proper method is faster. <br><br>Again, a friendly tip not a slag.

  lol Gibson gets us all in the end. &nbsp;I know people hate them, but when you find the “1” Gibson that speaks to you, you realize the search is worth it. &nbsp;They all aren’t made perfect, but it’s like finding that one person who just completes you. &nbsp;FYI yes I own other guitars but I reach for my LP more than anything

  Two remarks:<br>1. a regular capacitor doesn&apos;t have a polarity<br>2. the capacitor leaks signal to the ground, so &quot;upgrading&quot; to a different type with the same value has little to no effect.<br>But, you could experiment with the values.<br>I found that using 10 nF (0.010 uF) sounds very interesting when the tone knob is dialed to 0, especially with high output pickups and distorted.

  you can buy solder with flux in its center, rosin or acid core is usually what its called.

  Electronics engineer here - Flux is always a good idea, never be afraid that you&apos;ve used too much. In my opinion there&apos;s no such thing as too much flux.
