  Critics don’t always get it right. Glad Tom is getting the credit he deserves from the viewers. He’s a wonderful actor who on screen can swing between ( no pun intended) funny and charismatic to sweet, innocent, giddy, determined, passionate, scary, wild, poignant and sad and other emotions. He’s got range and I’m glad people are noticing.

  I have DID and some switches can be long, drawn out and vacant. Tom, I just want you to know that you nailed it with that vacant stare and stillness - it was portrayed very well - and the eyes glazing over and starring off like that is exactly how long switches take place. Thank you for your hard work and comittment to the role of Danny and his alters. A job well done

  Not sure why this series got bad reviews. The performances, themes, camera work, and production were all top notch. I hope there’s a big fanbase out there for it because it blew me away. After about 3-4 episodes I stopped seeing Tom Holland and only saw the character he threw himself into.

  I still admire Tom for taking on such a role. He shows how important it is to leave the comfort zone. Hopefully, he will remain an excellent role model.

  I have watched The Crowded Room 7 times since it came out. as an actor I was studying and admiring the performances; I love being surprised by choices actors make and because that happened so much in this show I had to watch it again and again. the dialogue is also wonderful as well as the direction, so it’s a masterclass in more ways than one. as person, however, it deeply resonated with me and helped me make the decision to start therapy. thank you for this insightful conversation 💗

  My dad has D.I.D also known as M.P.D and this is the most accurate show about it I've ever seen.

  Honestly The crowded room was really moving. His character broke me. i understood what we were dealing with from episode 2 i think. but even as you knew, hearing danny finally admit it in court, and having him finally come through as his true self, &nbsp;was such a gut-wrenching moment. &nbsp;I myself have schizophrenia. so even if that is not having multiple personalities, i related a lot to the feelings danny had. things he said and how he viewed himself and dealt with his trauma. very powerful and wonderful performance. There is NOTHING bad about this show. But if we are being honest, we know <b>why</b> this show was kind of not talked about. every time there is a movie about this subject of kids, - dealing with a word i can&apos;t type - hollywood makes sure it get silenced. &nbsp;There is the famous book called &quot;the perks of being a wallflower&quot; - which deals with similar trauma, and NO one wanted to touch that project when it was in works to become a film. what else could be the reason this show is getting bad reviews.. the episodes were great. the acting was great. and it deals really good with mental illness. and the word i am not allowed to type. even the word is not allowed here..... so i just want to say, to anyone who has not given this show a chance, it is deeplt moving and very dark. but one of toms best performances for sure 💕
