I add cinnamon to most of the dishes that I cook and bake. I've also found that a bit of vanilla extract/paste also just seems to round out the flavor of a LOT of dishes. 😊

I'm a true Texan. If you want beans in your chili, I am happy to serve them on the side so you can add them in your bowl.

The controversy over beans is so stupid. You want real authenticity! No tomatoes either!! But I love the beans, tomatoes, hot items, etc. And maybe the no beans people are the ones out of step! It has been almost a staple for game days, parties, and many other gatherings! In my whole life, I know absolutely no one who DIDN'T use beans most of the time! And, I am 68 years old. If you dont like something, then dont use it! But dont insult or degenerate others who dont do as you want. <br>Great set of recipes. So far, I've never tried a "chilie" I didn't like! <br>God bless all here! 😊
