It was a wise decision from the creators to cast an actual deaf actress to play the daughter's role. Millicent Simmonds, who played the deaf girl lost her hearing due to a medication overdose prior to turning one year old.

I remember watching this in the theater, everyone was literally quiet throughout the movie. People stopped eating snacks and were fully focused on the movie.<br><br>Thanks for all the likes, is great reading everyone's experience. This movie was definitely one of a kind!

Within seconds, this movie immediately makes me feel like I'm forbidden to speak. Incredible filmmaking.

I found it kind of odd how confused they were about the old couple. I thought it was pretty obvious that the old lady had been killed by one of the creatures after accidentally making a noise, and that the old man was her husband who couldn't bear to live without her.

Two points:<br>1) Emily Blunt + shotgun raises the survival rate of all of her allies by 1000%. See Looper, as well as this.<br>2) Part two of A Quiet Place continues the story VERY well.<br><br>Also, thank you two for watching this!

Believe it or not, the sequel is on equal footing with this movie. John Krasinski’s directorial debuts are absolutely iconic, in my opinion.

When I saw this in theatres, there was this skater bro who sat next to me with his Tinder date and he spent the entire film talking very loudly and obnoxiously about how he could take on the monsters. He was very clearly not getting a second date and ruined everyone's experience.
