Hi Steve and Lindsey, the Porsche was lit up brightly because the helicopter was using a thermal imaging camera. The heat of the tyres glows bright white and the heat being reflected from the road surface makes the underside glow.

On top of the 14 moonths, he was banned from driving for 5 years and 7 months once his current conviction ends<br>Not that it will stop him driving.

He will serve only half of that. A drunk driver killed a friend of mine and was sentenced to 18 months, served 9. Disgusting.

It’s not a long enough sentence in my mind, he’ll only serve half of that sentence before they let him out to do it all again when he can get another car.

Seeing how much damage he caused & the potential for hurting people I don’t feel 14 months is anywhere near enough, he won’t stop driving after he leaves prison, he’ll just carry on as before

Believe it or not this was my police force for 10 years or so....many many moons ago. I was involved in multiple chases like this. You learn to manage your adrenaline rush. People have driven like idiots and tried to push others of the road since there have been cars.

The British police generally do try to avoid killing suspects, often at great personal risk to themselves. It is a significant difference between police action in the U.S. and the UK.
