  my sister is heavy in the smutty fantasy community and has been attending and even running events in oregon for a couple years now and to this day still won&apos;t admit she&apos;s more cringe than me. something i find across booktok is the people who partake have this weird superiority complex and that there&apos;s nothing wrong with them cause it&apos;s books and fiction n whatnot

  I think the reason why most fanficers hate published omegaverse is because it doesn’t do anything. It’s basically your typical hetslop dark romance using omegaverse as some fancy set dressing. They never do anything interesting with it, because the woman is always a sweet, sensitive, and innocent (gag) omega, and the dude is the same brooding, dark, and possessive alpha. What’s the point of omegaverse, a genre that’s meant to redefine gender roles and switch them around, if the woman is getting impregnated by a man?
