  As someone who’s been on the other side of this, you get paid for every message a guy sends you (if he starts the conversation) and you get paid extra for video and photo requests. And they encourage girls to keep messaging these guys so the convos don’t die, and they can make more money.<br>It’s wholly possible that the girls on the other side are real girls, but they’re just not the girls in the photos (obvi). Sometimes the girls are working with guys, and sometimes they’re working solo. I didn’t know that the guys DIDNT KNOW they were being charged.

  Completely unrelated but the name Emilio comes from the latin word aemulus which means rival or imitator/impersonator. And that is oddly perfect for the situation

  I used to work for one of those &quot;text hot singles in your area&quot; phone lines. &nbsp;You&apos;re talking with an operator. &nbsp;Probably not just one. &nbsp;The idea is to keep the person on the app and chatting for as long as humanly possible. &nbsp;It&apos;s all very scummy. &nbsp;I quit after three days because there was an old man who said that he was in love with the &quot;woman&quot; he was talking to. &nbsp;That &quot;woman&quot; was probably 30 different people, at least one of whom was named Robert.
