    Its best to never idolize anyone. Just appreciate their work.

    When I was in 9th grade one of my classmates snuck out of the house one night and hitchhikes to the city to see Jim Croce. After the show she got herself backstage for the after party. But when Jim Croce saw what was going on, he asked her how old she was. She volunteered that she was 14, and he asked if her parents knew where she was, and she proudly told him how she'd snuck out and hitchhiked to see him. He insisted that she call her parents, then drove her home.

    I understand kids wanting to chase Rock Stars in their naivety but it's disturbing how many grown men find it acceptable to be with kids, they know better, but still do it.

    A lot of rock stars should have been arrested for sleeping with minors. The laws were the same in the 70's.

    Those photos of 14 year old girls, looking terrible in "grown up" makeup, are just disturbing. If there were boys their age around, that might be another thing, but for these men to look at those children and actually find them desirable...that's why the images are disturbing.

    My dads excuse for having groupies was, it gets lonely on the road. &nbsp;My Mum was at home on her own, lonely,she never took a lover to keep her company. <br>And then when I asked if I could go to a disco,I was 14/15, I was told NO by my dad as &quot;he knew what girls my age get up too&quot; . &nbsp;Not knowing what meant at the time, I thought why would girls my age be even speaking to him?

    The grossest part is that no adults stepped in or tried to protect them. Teenagers will try to do anything to be cool,independent, and well liked. This was a den of snakes. They were passed around like party favors. And thrown away. &nbsp;I get it if you&apos;re 18, but still. It&apos;s really heartbreaking. &nbsp;Especially sense most of the musicians had wives and children of their own. &nbsp;Follow the music not the band. Hollywood is nasty for grooming underage girls. It was acceptable back then, and the girls thought wow I am important.&quot; There was no love in it only lust. I dont care if Pamela De Barnes wrote a book about it .She Glamorizes &nbsp;something that was horrifying and damaging It&apos;s not okay. I grew up close to Hollywood. I am grateful my parents were protective

    I was a journalist who covered the music scene in the late 70s - and let me tell you ... the degrading way the musicians treated these girls was appalling. There was contempt, abasement, mental and physical cruelty. But these young women clearly didn&apos;t care.

    If a girl has to spend hours alone in a hotel room waiting for a guy while he&apos;s performing for a concert, she&apos;s not &quot;doing it for the music.&quot;

    I know the term “p d o file” tends to get thrown around a lot, but a lot of these musicians were quite literally exactly what that term describes.
