It was an honor to be part of this legacy and the last band to have a release on Stiff.

When I was 19 until I was 23 I believed the Stiff Gang were the coolest people on the planet. They say "never meet your heroes" but I did, in April 1979, at the wrap of the Armed Funk Tour. It was pretty cool, actually. Dave Edmunds showed me some card tricks and I chatted with Elvis Costello ( who was with Bebe Buell at the time). Jake Riviera was there along with the rest of Rockpile and The Attractions. Brilliant show. Great after party. Peak Stiff.

FUN FACT: Stiff was the first label to release the novelty Xmas tune "Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer". It flopped.

"STiFF: Crepe soles and roll your own". That'd make a decent title in itself.

Jake Riviera - I read about him in John Cooper Clarke‘s autobiography. What a character. Great documentary. I thank Stiff for pub rock records like Dr. Feelgood, later kick ass Ian Dury and plenty of other sensational artists. Hats off⚡️⚡️⚡️
