Not to correct, but you’re killing me with these mispronunciations of last names:
Albano= Al-bay-no
Scibelli= Scha-bel-le (long E)
Delavo = Da-lay-vo (long O)

Keep up the interesting videos!!

    I remember the South End in 1991, and there weren't many Italians left even then. It was already very Puerto Rican.

    You have a real talent for writing for your videos. I like that you don't just recite Wikipedia. Love the pics along the way to bring it to life. Keep doing your thing, brotha.

    I worked at the Springfield YMCA from ‘86-‘90. We had a membership club inside the Y called the Valley Athletic Club. They all would come there, Scibelli’s, Bruno, Matty Ryan and others, play racquetball or handball and hangout in the lounge. Saw several times Bruno and Ryan go into the sauna to do their dirty work.

    Like a typical Eastern Ma guy i know little about Springfield and even less about their organized crime history. Fascinating stuff Jason, and really well done! (love the voice overs too). Nice job!

    Well done. You pretty much got it all right. It seemed the crux of matter was John Bologna from NYC hanging out at the Mardi Gras in Springfield, counting how many patrons were coming into the 4-story strip club and convincing Genovese boss Arti Nigro to start demanding an ADDITIONAL tribute that was double the amount Big Al was being paid, to NYC with Anthony Arillotta telling the Mardi Gras owner to alternately pay "this guy", depending on whether Big Al sent him or he was with John Bologna from NYC, who come to find out, was reporting everything to the feds on Arti Nigro and every one else all along and that's really where it all started to unravel afterwards.

    Spot on. I remember seeing Big Al around Springfield. Those were definitely safer times for regular people. When Bruno died, Springfield really went to hell. For sure the last real gangster. R.I.P Adolfo “Big Al” Bruno
