UK here - some years ago, a friend of mine (who'd been in the regular British Army, not special forces), told me of one time his unit went on large scale exercises with other NATO forces in some remote part of the UK for a few weeks. When the exercises ended, the troops had a joint debrief, where they were introduced to a team of SAS that had been shadowing various units during the exercises at various times - my friend's team being one of them. The SAS guys then returned some personal effects they'd taken from my friend's comrades - wallets, private letters, and my friend's own cigarette lighter..... The SAS never revealed how they did it (or when) , but revealed so many details about individual names, friendships, backgrounds etc that my friend and his comrades were left utterly speechless - they never had any idea the SAS were even there the whole time!!! ..... So impressive - and yet, absolutely terrifying!!

In the 80s I knew a guy who was in the catering core of the British military. He told me that he had been on exercise in Europe (Germany I think). At one point the group he was with were told that the SAS were in the area. Security was increased massively. One morning he woke up and there was a commotion in his billet. A box had been found hanging from the ceiling with a simple message, 'Boom you're dead'. The biggest shocker was that every tent, billet, every area troops and ancilliary used to sleep had a similar message. His comment,,, ' Thank fcuk they're on our side.'<br>Respect.

The SAS always finds a way! They're extraordinary otherworldly 🇬🇧 if the SAS are coming for you, you're already dead! You just don't know it yet.

American forces need to learn humility. It’s a God-given grace which the SAS posses in abundance. They don’t feel it necessary to big themselves up. They know they’re the best of the best and yet are willing to share their expertise with every other allied nation in the world. It’s a fact, that no other allied special forces would exist without the SAS. 🙏🏻

Many years ago I was on exercise in Germany. We were told an amusing story about the SAS on that exercise. An American air base commander was told (though he should not have been) that his base was to be attacked and it was the SAS carrying out the attack. He doubled the guard and did everything he could to ensure his base would be safe. There were no reports through the night but the next morning an umpire arrived to inform him his base was out of action. He said nothing had happened all night, to which the umpire took him outside and showed him there was a white cross painted on all aircraft and even on the door to the control tower. Then came a report that a guard was missing. He was found later naked gagged tied to a tree with his uniform neatly folded and his weapon stripped.
