Shin Yong-cheol Word of Life Mission for Your Soul https://www.jbch.org The Word of Life Mission (Korea Baptist Convention) delivers the Word of God to all people around the world. Jesus likened our hearts to a "treasure chest," stating that what is stored up in the heart flows out in words and actions. Through this Wednesday sermon, we hope you will deeply reflect on what is truly stored in the treasure chest of your heart. [Sermon Summary] 1. The Heart is a Huge Treasure Chest A person's character and the fruits of their life are determined by the heart they build up throughout their lifetime. Education that prioritizes filling the pure stone tablets of a child's heart with God's correct Word and wisdom becomes the foundation of a life of faith. 2. Fill the Chambers of Your Heart with Spiritual Treasures As the Book of Proverbs says, the house of faith is built up firmly with wisdom and understanding, and the chambers of the heart must be filled with the knowledge of truth and beautiful treasures. When we neatly store Jesus Christ, the treasure of all nations, and the Word of God in every chamber of our hearts, we can live a victorious life even amidst the shaking of the world. 3. Let us [Scripture] "How can you speak good things when you are evil, you offspring of vipers? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. A good man brings forth good things from the good treasure of his heart, and an evil man brings forth evil things from the evil treasure of his heart." (Matthew 12:34-35) "Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the source of life." (Proverbs 4:23) "The house is built by wisdom and established by understanding. The rooms are filled by knowledge with all kinds of precious and beautiful treasures." (Proverbs 24:3-4) "But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, so that the exceeding greatness of the power may be of God, and not of us." (2 Corinthians 4:7)
