  A black woman that knows her worth is the scariest thing in America. I salute Monique. She unfortunately has to pave the way for black women in Hollywood to know how to speak up for their rights. A hefty price to pay but someone has to do it.

  I hope young people allegedly don&apos;t take Sherry&apos;s advice of not speaking up because we all know that young people do speak up on things they want to speak up about,their equality is that one thing to speak up about.

  Mo&apos;Nique has stood by her truth from day one. Not everyone has supported her, and some people may stay silent out of fear that speaking up could affect their careers or opportunities. In many situations, people are more comfortable with softened versions of the truth than with direct honesty, and this has become a prime example of that dynamic.<br>Mo&apos;Nique, thank you for being yourself and for speaking up for those who feel they cannot. Gatekeepers will always decide who gets access, who stays close to the gate, and who remains outside of it. Your willingness to speak openly has resonated with many people who feel their voices are not heard.
