this is like the 10th year i am coming back to this song and now that i am a father i think that this is like a bedtime story in that it is so soothing and satisfying, does in fact not leave you wanting more because it has such a perfect ending…

i am always troubled to find a song to play after this

I think it really says something about Robben Ford when there are over 2.7 million views on an 8 minute live jazz song. He's not exactly a household name to the masses but those who know who he is respect him immensely.

back in 2012, I was doing my compulsory military service which felt like imprisonment for many times and I had only one day to go out and access to the internet. This was the original video and song on youtube that I kept listening for months.

"You will NEVER, EVER sound exactly like Robben Ford, none of us will." - Guthrie Govan

"Robben Ford figured out how to play blues and jazz at the same time without alienating either side. His playing reminds me of a skateboarder on the edge of a pipe -- he'll just hang on a note." - John Mayer

The notes he doesn’t play are every bit as important as the ones he does, incredible feel, and even the longest stretches of solo have context and movement, amazing player.

Very few people will ever play with as much class as Robben Ford.

What I love the most about Robben Ford is how he plays so soft and so easy for a long time and makes you wait for the jazzy bits you know he's so good at. As a guitarist I find he shows so much restraint. He could wow everyone with his music vocabulary but takes it easy and keeps it simple, using really basic scales... then slowly he introduces fancier and fancier stuff. Musicianship at its finest in my opinion.

Music helps us all in so many ways. I've loved Robben since Talk to Your Daughter and I've never heard him play better than this. I had a massive emotional connection with this and I was sobbing with joy by the end; I guess he means even more to me than I thought!

This tune is amazing. The feeling, melody, phrasing and the whay is playing the chord progression. Outstanding
