  This Georgia team was loaded too. I was at this game. Wisconsin fan were nice people very friendly. They said UGA was really a good team!

  Back then, the BCS only selected 8 teams instead of 10 without a separate game for the national title. 6 conference champs were all guaranteed a spot. Utah and Texas got the at-large bids because they were ranked higher than Georgia. I guess a New Year&apos;s Day game was the next best option.
