  I am a woman and I play CS2. One day I was tired of all this shit, so I changed my profile name to SPERMINATOR, I deepened my voice and I used the photo of a muscled teen-ager as profile picture. Damn, I am still impressed by the amount of respect I gained in 1 week of my life on this video game!! XD

  I think the saddest thing about it for me is the lack of identity. When they insult you, it&apos;s &quot;go to the kitchen, woman&quot;, when they praise you it&apos;s &quot;good job, woman&quot;. Almost like you&apos;re just a concept or a mythical creature instead of an individual person. It&apos;s much more fun to pretend to be a dude, because at least the insults/praises are directed towards me as a person, and not about something I share with 50% of the human population.

  Some guy on opposite team on cs literally congratulated me on my birthday in chat. I don&apos;t have my birthday listed on steam. Apparently the guy had taken the time to google me in the middle of the match, and somehow found my facebook. Safe to say I went through my privacy settings everywhere after that.

  I think men who voice change enjoy the attention, especially “positive” at first because it’s unusual to them 😅. But it gets very old very fast when there’s this one person that makes a big deal out of having a woman on the team and you can’t stop hearing about it for the rest of the match. Awkward.

  I had 2 guys in my team that were saying absolutely disgusting things to me in their own language thinking i didn&apos;t understand but unfortunately I did. And when the game ended I told them in their own language that they were a bunch of weirdo&apos;s they got embarrassed and apologized lol
