  People complaining that she&apos;s actually dumb but I think it actually makes sense for her to be kinda of foolish. <br>When you pretend long enough the human brain tends to start believing, that&apos;s how pathologic lying happens, the person lied so much that their own brain can&apos;t differentiate between the lie and the truth, they start &quot;believing&quot; in their own lies<br>Even if they know it is a lie subconsciously they behave as if it is true<br>The human brain does the most to not spend energy on useless things so if you repeat an action for long enough your brain automatically does that for you, like breathing, walking and so, you don&apos;t think to do this things you just do

  She was actually very smart.. she just underestimated the hypocrisy of royalty. <br>For a girl who had no allies and no support, she really did well. She had once in a lifetime opportunity and she made good use of it. <br>She thought at least the emperor would listen and be fair, turned out the man just wanted his name to be unblemished.

You point your finger, your hand will be cut off. 😌 It&apos;s so annoying because in a lot of vertical dramas, the character is supposed to be royalty but gets insulted, bullied, and abused. Like, that is unheard of. Just looking at them wrongly or with malice can get your whole clan killed.

  I think some of the complaints about this one is because they are comparing it to either the republican era one or the modern day one. You have to remember, this FL has a lot less options and ability to take steps for revenge since she is stuck in the inner court. I think she planned well with her limitations. It wasnt some grand ans over the top plan but it was solid for the mist part. The FL and ML also have nice chemistry. You can tell very early on that the ML cares for the FL and quickly fell in love with her. Yes, its a very questionable that his is with someone he thinks is mentally challenged, at least in this version he admits that he wouldnt have been had he realized she was mentally challenged, something the other versions dont do.

  Certainly wasn&apos;t bad. Fl is beaten a bit too many times, she&apos;s always ready to sacrifice herself to get the orince on her side and find enough proofs. A huge plus that this time the ml&apos;s silver wig actually looked good and you didn&apos;t see his black hair everywhere under the wig. Chemistry was also off the charts.

  A lot of comments asking why didn&apos;t the FL just do this or that? She is living under oppression in the house of the most powerful nobleman in the province. There was nothing she could do. She can&apos;t even escape because her father literally owns the province. Her only way out is the Crown Prince because he is the only man she came across who is more powerful than her father. Even then, she can&apos;t directly tell him her secrets because there is still the likelihood that the CP is also on the faction of her father, the Duke. She grasped at that one lifeline (literally said so in the scene) just to get a way out of the province so she can address her grievance to the King (which turned out to be of no help, if it hadn&apos;t been for the CP backing her up again). <br><br>You have to adjust your expectations to the societal structure of that era. The FL is suffering a lot of systemic disadvantages: she is a woman, her mother is from the merchant class (considered lower), her maternal family are all ☠ and branded as traitors, she has no money, she is a fool (i.e. mentally challenged, though fake), she has no money and has no way of making money. So exactly how can she escape? She can only hope that the CP will like her enough to take her along with him to the capital.
