I had prodromal labor for 3 weeks off and on and labor started at <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o7u0jeqtrSM&t=520">8:40</a> and had my son 3 hrs later.

My prodromal labor doesn’t stop no matter what I do, every 3-7 mins for weeks now, some are pretty intense but they never get intense enough

So helpful! I had term PROM with my first and ended up having to get induced. One of my providers pointed out that we don’t actually know how my body does labor since I never went into labor on my own. I’m 37w4d with my second, and last night had three real contractions with a pattern (40 min apart) before I went to bed. Overnight it seemed to nearly vanish, and I only had one small one last night and one small one this morning. I was so scared it was early labor, but now I’m definitely thinking prodromal!

This video gives an excellent explanation on the differences of labor. I will add that I had a precipitous labor my first pregnancy and followed the advice that most doubles recommend to stay home in early labor - and things progressed extremely quickly and almost didn’t make it to the hospital in time. Very rare!!! But just be warned it doesn’t hurt to go in get checked and get sent home if you are not sure how fast your labors go especially if it’s your first.

My prodromal labor did nothing to help me. My cervix was already extremely soft before it started, I was already dilated and a bit effaced. 2 weeks of prodromal labor later and nothing has changed
