  I mean if she had said "Don't bring a gift we'd like you all to make her a bear as a gift" on the invite then that would have been reasonable as the parents could have prepped their kids first that they were making Susie a present.

  I used to work for BAB. &nbsp;I was a &quot;host&quot; for several BAB birthday parties. The understanding was <b>every</b> child at the party got to take home a bear. I&apos;ve seen absolute chaos ensue at these parties, but I&apos;ve <b>never</b> heard or seen this. It&apos;s the sheer audacity for me.

  The only reason the &quot;you don&apos;t get to keep it&quot; wasn&apos;t disclosed on the invite is because they knew nobody would show up if that was the case.

  i have two little sisters and i know if those kids were told from the start &apos;&apos;we&apos;re making bears to give to your friend as a present&apos;&apos; most kids would be like &apos;&apos;little weird but sure&apos;&apos; it&apos;s the reverse surprise that&apos;s diabolical

  Sara&apos;s mom probably didn&apos;t book an actual party on purpose because the party limits the selection of the type of bear. She wanted these kids to pick out the nicer ones so she could give them to her daughter.

  I didn&apos;t grow up rich by any means, so just being able to set foot inside of a Build-A-Bear and watch other kids make their own stuffed animals was super special to me. My little soul would have been shattered if I finally got the chance to make my own bear—only for it to be taken away from me and given to someone else. It&apos;s just heartless....
