Nehemiah, the man who wept while gazing at the collapsed walls of Jerusalem. Nehemiah, a cupbearer to the King of Persia, heard the news that the walls of Jerusalem had collapsed and the gates remained burned. After praying to God and receiving the King's permission, he headed to Jerusalem. However, the path to rebuilding the walls was by no means smooth. The mockery, intimidation, and threats of attack from enemies, including Sanballat and Tobiah, continued, and internal conflict arose among the people. Nevertheless, Nehemiah and the people did not give up. Building the walls with one hand and preparing weapons with the other, they finally completed the walls of Jerusalem in 52 days. But what Nehemiah truly sought to rebuild was not just the collapsed walls. When Ezra read God's law before the people, they realized their sins and wept. And they resolved to live according to God's word once again. From the rebuilding of the city walls to the restoration of the people's faith and worship, This recording captures the story of Nehemiah chapters 1 through 13 with a comforting narration.
