Reading this as my GSDx I rescued 3 yrs ago is sleeping in her bed next to my chair. She’s around 4 now. Helped me work through the death of my husband in January 2023. Wouldn’t trade her for anything.

We had th vey great privilege of having g a pair of wolves come out of the woods and stay with us for over 3 months! At the time we had our 3 sons, 5, 7, and 9 yrs old. A little scary at first, but the wolves became the guardians of the boys, the playmates, the loving care givers of the “puppies!” They played together, piled up to rest. You have never lived until you have had a huge wolves head drop into your lap for scratches and pets! Simply love in grey fur! Trust and respect to dogs and wolves, and love!

This was a wonderful story although I felt sad that a dog ,or any animal should feel so depressed following the loss of his owner. I also felt sorry for Pepper despite knowing he would go to a good home.
