Black Sabbath is the reason the genre Heavy Metal is around. A reporter was writing an article about the band and he tried to describe the sound he likened it to the sounds of the heavy metal noises in the factories. Hence the term for that style was christened “ Heavy Metal “

Black Sabbath created Metal music. Bruce Dickinson quoted someone on a radio doc he presented, "If you want to know what Heavy Metal is listen to the opening track on [Black Sabbath's] debut album and you'll have your answer." They created this track by talking to US veterans in rehab in Germany before they were repatriated to the States, kerk
