It was a stroke of genius for the show to steer into Chandler and Monica and make them the “backbone” relationship of the show instead of Ross and Rachel. The show needed at least one couple of stability imo.

Re: the cast and their pay - before season 3, David Schwimmer and Jennifer Aniston were offered more money, leaving the rest of the cast out. They both refused and banded together with the rest of the cast to ensure equal pay for all six of them, beginning negotiations in season 3. They refused to negotiate separately, and eventually, there was no choice but to accept their demand to be paid the same. Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer even took some pay cuts so that everyone could be paid the same. By season 9, they were all paid $1M per episode. This is one of my favorite pieces of Friends trivia. ❤

1:55:12 I love this show's writing. When Chandler's said "Scotch? On the rocks? With a twist? On a coaster? Monica??!", just means that Richard was not the only one that knows Monica well. Richard didn't even say "on a coaster" so extra point for Chandler 😂😂😂

Fun fact Matthew Perry and Bruce Willis had worked together on the whole 9 yards and Bruce thought it would would not be a hit and Matthew thought it would be a hit so they made a bet and since Matthew won the bet Bruce had to appear on friends for free

Its just beautiful to remember Matthew perry and Bruce Willis the way they were.. With Matthew passing on and Bruce in the sad condition he's in.. Just bitter sweet.. Almost every episode i have to push the thought that Matthew isn't with us anymore.. But his memories will always live on.. He was my favorite character and always will be ❤❤

Theres a meme thats around after chandler walks in on monicas proposal and turns to look at joey, the caption says, "The moment Chandler realizes all those acting classes he paid for joey to take paid off." Love you guys ❤

Chandler's speech of "I thought that it mattered, what I said, or where I said it. But then I realised, that you make me happier than I ever thought I could be. And if you let me, I'll spend the rest of my life trying to make you feel the same way" is the moment I start sobbing. It's one of, if not the most, romantic proposal I've ever seen on TV.

I do love that they tried to repair Richard's character. They could have left him looking like a total asshole if he didn't have the conversation with Chandler.

That would have been such a sad ending for such an iconic character.

This is how most of us feels about this whole Richard situation 🥲 He is a great guy, the best ex bf of Monica. But no one can beat the chemistry of Chandler and Monica, and hell yeah Chandler is a greaaaat guy.
