The Qur’an affirms the Torah and the Gospel as God’s revealed word.</b> <br> <br>Surah 3:3 – “He revealed the Torah and the Gospel.” <br>This verse clearly states that the Torah and the Gospel were revelations from God, affirming their divine origin. <br> <br>Surah 5:47 – “Let the People of the Gospel judge by what Allah has revealed therein.” <br>Christians are commanded to judge by the Gospel that was revealed to them, indicating that it was still authoritative and accessible at the time of Muhammad. <br> <br><b>2. The Qur’an says God’s word cannot be changed.</b> <br> <br>Surah 6:115 – “None can alter His words.” <br>This asserts that God&apos;s decrees and revelations are unchangeable, safeguarding the integrity of His messages. <br> <br>Surah 18:27 – “There is no changer of His words.” <br>The Qur’an again emphasizes that no one can corrupt or modify what God has revealed, reinforcing the preservation of divine scripture. <br> <br>The Qur&apos;an clearly asserts that God&apos;s words are unchangeable (Surah 6:115, Surah 18:27), which conflicts with the idea that the Torah and the Gospel, as revealed scriptures, could have been altered or corrupted. <br> <br><b>3. The Gospels were accessible and reliable in Muhammad’s time:</b> <br> <br>Surah 5:68 – “You are on nothing until you uphold the Torah and the Gospel…” <br>This challenges the Jews and Christians of Muhammad’s time, saying their faith is meaningless unless they uphold these scriptures—implying they still possessed them. <br> <br>Surah 10:94 – “If you are in doubt about what We have revealed to you, ask those who were reading the Scripture before you.” <br>Muhammad is told to consult the People of the Book if he has doubts about the revelation, assuming their scriptures are trustworthy sources. <br> <br>The Qur&apos;an repeatedly affirms the Torah and the Gospel as God&apos;s revealed truth, directing the People of the Gospel to judge by these scriptures which had to be available and reliable at that time. <br> <br><b>4. The Qur’an contradicts the Gospels.</b> <br> <br>Surah 5:72 – “They have certainly disbelieved who say, ‘Allah is the Messiah, the son of Mary.’” <br>This statement contradicts the Christian belief in the divinity of Jesus Christ, as found in the Gospels, where Jesus is regarded as the Son of God, not merely a human prophet. <br> <br>Surah 4:157 – “They did not kill him, nor did they crucify him.” <br>This verse denies the crucifixion of Jesus, which directly contradicts the central claim of the Gospels (Matthew 27, Mark 15, Luke 23, and John 19) where the crucifixion and death of Jesus are fundamental to the Christian faith. <br> <br>Despite affirming the Gospels as divine revelation, the Qur&apos;an contradicts key Gospel teachings, particularly regarding the nature of Jesus and His crucifixion (Surah 5:72, Surah 4:157). <br> <br><b>5. Muslims face a dilemma. There are only two options.</b> <br> <br>A. If the Torah and the Gospels are true, the Qur’an is false for contradicting them. <br>The Qur&apos;an affirms the authority and truth of the Gospels in various verses (such as Surah 5:46-47, Surah 3:3), yet it contradicts core Christian doctrines like the divinity of Jesus (Surah 5:72) and His crucifixion (Surah 4:157). If the Gospels are true in these teachings, the Qur&apos;an cannot also be true, as it denies them. <br> <br>B. If the Torah and the Gospels are false, the Qur’an is false for affirming them. <br>The Qur&apos;an not only affirms the truth of the Gospels but also instructs the People of the Gospel to judge by them (Surah 5:47, Surah 10:94). If the Gospels are false, then the Qur&apos;an is wrong for promoting them as authoritative and guiding the Christians to follow them. <br> <br>Either way, the Qur’an is false. So, how can Islam be true? <br> <br>Why do you believe that the Torah and the Gospels are false when Allah says otherwise? <br> <br>&quot;Do you, then, believe in part of the Book and disbelieve in part? And what is the recompense for those who do so but disgrace in the life of this world? And on the Day of Resurrection they shall be consigned to the most severe punishment. And God is not heedless of what you do.&quot; (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:85)

  St John of Damascus was the pioneer of the Islamic Dilemma in the 8th century. <br>George of Beltan (George I of Antioch) a few years later (like 5-10 yea) used the language we use today for the Islamic Dilemma. <br>So D Wood definitely didn’t invent it but he may have independently intuited it. <br><br>So that has always been a point of caution for me. We have been demonstrating that their book is BS for 1300 plus years using the Islamic Dilemma and yet they continued to fester and grow.

  Funny that your local imam can&apos;t answer the dilemma but ask the average Christian Orthodox priest about any concern you have about Christianity and he will be able to give you a coherent answer. Funny, that.
