In 1974 I was a nine yo girl living less then 2 miles from Ted Bundy to the West just over I-5. As kids we talked about the murders. The impact that this had on our young lives and minds cannot be underestimated. His girlfriend's daughter was close to my age. We would have been contemporaries. It is 3:00 a.m. and at 60 years old, here I am watching this. Still haunted by the boogeyman of my childhood.

Frankly, when as a teenager he killed his first victim, he had crossed the point of no return. After that, he just honed his skills.

On 4 Jan 1989 I was on the way to the mall in Clearwater Florida with my mom. We were listening to the radio and they announced the death of Ted Bundy. All around us cars started honking and flashing their lights as everyone had been waiting for this day for many years.

Is it me or does he look a different person in every photograph?

Many kids have bad childhoods but don't end up being murderers.

Not surprised Bundy was majoring in law and had an a possible political career ahead of him. Narcissists tend to gravitate toward politics.

Nobody ever saw bundys dark side other than his victims. He manipulated every psychologist he met. Including the one in this doc.

My friend was hitchhiking in Utah when a Beetle car pulled over. The guy asked if she wanted a ride. Her friend was a little behind her. My friend said yes, but when her friend caught up she said, No thanks.” When they later saw the news, they realized the guy was Ted Bundy.

Ted’s brother has never married or had children. He lives in an RV alone in the woods somewhere. The pain & guilt he feels for what his brother did is obvious just from looking at him & listening to him speak. It’s heartbreaking. I hope everyone e will keep him in their prayers along with the victims & their parents.

The video is here on YouTube. It’s on the “Crime TV Files” channel & is titled “Interview with Ted Bundy’s Brother/Growing Up with a Serial Killer”

Ann Rule wrote "The Stranger Beside Me." She worked at a Seattle emergency call center with Bundy and had no idea he was killing women. She didn't really believe it when it was reported Bundy was a serial killer because that's not the person she knew.
