Hey guys, gotta love the algorithm. This video took off a year after I made it for absolutely no reason. Welcome to the channel regardless. I just love interviewing random people and learning about their lives and work. I upload on this channel very sporadically. But I do make long form content about the Balkans on my second channel. If you're interested, cya there: https://www.youtube.com/@BoredNele/videos

I think it's an inaccuracy to call these "mistakes" when the show was never presented to be a documentary, it's a TV show that's "based" on a true story...

“This dramatization is inspired by true events. However certain scenes, characters, names, businesses, incidents, locations and events have been fictionalized for dramatic purposes”
I think this has been stated at the beginning of every episode lol.

It was really to make the show watchable and also so they don’t get sued and have to pay off people.

I’m rewatching the first two seasons right now. Such a good show. It’s a shame Corillo wasn’t real. He was such a badass.

People need to understand that there's a difference between documentaries and dramatisations based on true events. And even documentaries aren't always depicting 100% of the facts.

As a former Colombian military officer, I found Narcos cinematic and accurate, but the non-Colombian actors' unnatural accents broke the immersion. Still, I recognize their effort and understand the series was made for an international audience.

 Dramatization or not…..
Loved the series and actors.
Probably in my top 6 series of all time.
Sopranos obviously being number 1 (which started the bar).
The Wire, Boardwalk Empire, Fargo,
Breaking Bad,
Rome,
Spartacus…..
The rest is personal preference.
