It's even worse when the only time Griffith uses his wings is to fly down to do the unthinkable to Casca. Not to fly up to reach his kingdom like he had us think. For the rest of the series, Griffith is always being flown around by Zodd. If Zodd is equal to Guts in fighting strength, then Griffith is neither of their equal as he's reliant on Zodd for his wings. Even though he has f*cking wings!

That was the idea of evil. Guts is about to meet the idea of good.

I still think we might see chapter 83 resurface at some point in the form of a flashback because I remember reading he also said it revealed too much too soon

I am starting to think that Griffith has lots of common with Dio Brando, the main villain of Jojo's Bizzarre Advebtures. Both tyrants trascending humanity, costantly in search of greater power and trascendence, obsessed with destiny and yet ultimately childish.

I think that what was not supposed to be disclosed in this chapter was not so much the idea of evil, but instead it revealed griffiths new goal.

This was further substantiated by Guts stating that griffith will keep soaring.

Those wings will sure come handy in getting back at the idea of evil when the time comes.

It's like a magician revealing how the trick is made and then showing the trick to you, sure, but still it's too relevant to ignore and well miura is not alive to tell us how he would have shown this for the ending arch or even if he was planning to change it. I think the right move for his friends who are working to complete the manga is to restore it and make it canon again.
