  Greetings from Australia. We have had lots of nice comparisons for these 3 PHEV utes, and found 3 points of conclusion: The GWM Cannon Alpha PHEV is the most mechanically capable one, with decent power, torque and a traditional 4X4 system. The Shark 6 is the cheapest one, though with the least towing capacity, it's still the best seller among those 3 PHEV utes. If you don't need a ute but love the shape and lifestyle of having a ute, the Shark 6 is the best option. Finally, the Ranger PHEV. If you MUST buy a Ford PHEV, and it must be a ute, the Ranger PHEV will then be picked. For all other cases, the Ranger is meaningless. It provides weaker power and the shortest EV range. Not better towing capacity or off-road capability than the Cannon Alpha. Also, it's the most expensive one. The Ranger PHEV is a real regulation-compliant car, while the other 2 manufacturers really want to give customers something funny.

  great vid, very enjoyable to watch. But, the canon should have got the +1 for diff locks.... it has 2 of them! And you need to do another of these showdowns very soon, with the BYD getting the new "performance" 2L upgrade

  As an electrician it would be awesome for these companies to make a sensible plug in hybrid 4wd work van. Pretty simple 15kw battery, decent diesel generator (none of fords bull shut wet belt driven engine s) .... Come on manufacturers you can do it for us self employed Tradies.
