Small tip for adding water or acid: Add a piece of shrink sleeve to the tip of the syringe to lengthen it. Then it can go far enough into the battery holes so it does not block up in the filler hole. One more thing: wear protective goggles!

My method is to desulfate the battery at 100 amps for 10 minutes let rest for 1 hour, repeat 7 times. Then shake out the battery acid and rinse several times with distilled H2O to remove the lead sulfate crystals at the bottom of the battery. Then fill the battery with a solution of Epsom salts, charge the battery at 15 amps till charged, repeat 5 times. Rinse again with distilled H2O and shake out the lead sulfate crystals 5 more times. Buy lead acid battery H2SO4 solution to refill the battery, trickle charge for 5 days and its new if there are no shorts in the battery to begin with.
