  The basis of the catboy is that schrodingers cat is a paradoxical existence experiment meaning at long as schrodinger knows and recognizes himself he lives. Once alucard ate schrodinger, the cat was lost amongst the 3 million souls in alucard meaning schrodinger forgot who he was meaning alucard now forgot who he was. This only worked because whoever alucard devours actually becomes a part of him

  For those who wish to know, Schrödinger’s (blonde dude with the cat ears) powers are based on a thought experiment formed by an Austrian physicist named Erwin Schrödinger and referred to as “Schrödinger’s Cat.” The thought experiment basically suggests that if you put a cat and something that might kill it in a box, you assume that the cat is both dead and alive until you open the box and confirm it. Schrödinger’s power reflects that thought experiment, making him both dead and alive. He cannot exist in reality unless he is aware of who he is and when he is aware, he’s undying. When Alucard absorbed him, Schrödinger willingly gave himself to Alucard which tied their two existences together, directly giving Alucard his powers. Since Alucard had thousands of other souls inside his own, he could not distinguish his own amongst them, and because he was not aware of his soul, which is who he is, he disappeared from reality.
