Simplicity is one the arguments that took me out of Calvinism. I was always wondering why Calvinism is such a convoluted, sophisticated or highly philosophical system. At first, I was not a Calvinist, but I became one reading their literature (i.e. Macarthur, Piper, Sproul). Later, thanks to channels like this and my own research, I step out of it. What a relief! It was like a second born again experience. Dr. Flowers was very instrumental and he is getting terribly sharper for Calvinists.

Good stuff!
I'm praying Kurt gets all the support and challenges to learn and grow that he can get!
Would be great to have him on Soteriology101 again in the future and hear how he's grown through his journey.

I have never been a Calvinist but when the pandemic started we were led out of our church to a church where the word was unashamedly taught! We knew they were Calvinist but justified being there “ because they didn’t push it”. Well as of lately it clearly is being pushed and preached and we have been awakened to the fact that it also has an impact on how they interpret the scripture, such as on sovereignty and grace and so so much more. I recently heard a gentleman refer to Calvinism as a false gospel. I am in total agreement with that!
Sadly we will be leaving this church.. But we know God, as He is leading us out will lead us into another of His choosing. 🙏
Thank you and your guest for all you do!!

Well, I was born in a presbiterian church, they help me a lot in my faith an nowdays. I appreciate the effort of the reformers. We need to be focused on the first level doctrines, but the pastors must teach the second level doctrines were all of us have differences. I teach the point of view if the reforners but also the arminian point of view, and now what Dr Ken Wilson on the Agustinian root. May the Lord bless you Dr Flowers , from Chihuahua Mexico.

I wasn’t born again in a Calvinist leaning church, but I was very young. My parents were solid Christians who taught us about God, His Word, and raised us in a home where we just accepted that God made the world and the Bible is His Word. This was a great blessing, because I never ever thought that God didn’t exist, or that the Bible is not truly the word of God. I was 7 when I was born again. I didn’t know a whole lot of things, but I knew that Jesus died for my sins and that I was a sinner who needed to repent and ask His forgiveness. That’s ALL I knew. 2-3 years later, my parents were seduced by the Word of Faith movement and I was immersed in that false doctrine until God slowly but surely re-educated me.
I never HEARD of Calvinism until I was in my late teens and it seemed to me to be very different to what I read in the Bible. It’s only recently that I’ve become interested in looking more closely into the doctrines of Calvinism, because in the course of my searching for answers about the cultish Word of Faith movement and its offspring, the Holy Spirit led to looking at the Bible passages that the WoF, etc, twist into proof texts that make a very convincing case for what are actually false doctrines.
I also began to learn discernment and how to test the teachings of people who are in such groups. I give all the praise and glory to God for His patient grace in drawing me out of the deception of the WoF/NAR/Latter Rain and into the Truth. I learned to stop looking to the teachings of men and instead, to ask God for wisdom and for the Holy Spirit to guide me into all Truth , as Jesus promised He would. I believe that the Love of the Truth is the most profoundly important thing we have as Christians. I firmly believe that the love of Jesus and Scriptures that reveal Him is to love the Truth and that is what brought me through the years of confusion that I went through as the
Holy Spirit was slowly guiding me out of one false belief after another. I know very well what Jesus meant when He said that we should come to Him as a child would. It is after all, how I was born again.

Thank you Leighton, you, the channel and the content is of great value and contribution to this subject.

If you can please, please allow your guests during their testimony or interview to fully explain and give their whole testimony first, then go back into questions, probing further and more unpacking.

Personally, I feel like you continue teaching and talk just as much as your guests when I think it shouldn't be when you have others on. That way videos can be shorter too.
