Not criticizing, but my doctor does vouch that losing weight gradually and building muscle to fill in does help minimize loose skin.

Huge respect to all those transformations! Excess skin is a sign that someone changed their life for the better and should not be made fun of

I went from 500 lbs to 235 lbs over two years.
I have loose skin, and it suucks.
I have been keeping up with asthetic workouts and body building. I see my dermatologist and plastic surgery every six months as follow-up. My skin is shrinking. They both have said it may not fully shrink, and I may bed up with surgery. I get full body massages twice a week, which has been helping with the collagen production and skin adaptation. I have an appointment next year to determine if surgery is the best answer. I have been keeping on my meal plan, hormone level checks, and daily workouts. 30 minute hiit and 1 hour of strength and body building.

Until I was 11, I was really fat. Starting 7th grade, I started to really focus on my physical health and lost a lot of weight and gained a lot of muscle. You can see stomach lines on my body because I lost weight so quickly. Right now, I'm in 8th grade, and I feel much healthier and happier.

At first I was also scared of loose skin, I was 328lbs/148.8kg at my heaviest and am currently sitting at 240lbs/109kg at 6 feet or 182cm which still is A lot of weight but I feel so much better. Dont let something like loose skin be the reason to stay unhealthy, you wont regret losing weight.

My weight lost has been a roller coaster.

Fat, but not like super obese levels, as a kid. In Middle school, decided to go on a 1000 cal diet and really thinned out and was into weight lifting in gym class. Was about 170 lbs, average body fat for my height and I naturally have a higher baseline muscle mass and bone density to the average male.

In HS, got lower back injury and couldn't play sports. But found new hobbies and that kept me busy. Kept about same weight.

At start of college, was at thinnest. Was busy with studies, most sedentary but also ate little due to costs.

Near end of college, still couldn't play sports but was healed enough to get back into weight lifting. Weight ballooned to 250.

COVID, got sick and couldn't eat, had to force myself. Weight dropped to 210 in two weeks. (240 prior). After recovery weight stable at 215-220. This was when I was at my strongest, body fat was in low 20 percent.

Now, after fixing my diet, slowly swapping out food items, been gradually losing weight and body fat. Most days weight is under 210. I've lost strength, ex normal bench before 305, 315 max now max is 295. Body is more defined, no visible abs but slowly beginning to show. Hoping to have by my BD, it will be the first time seeing them. So far, haven't noticed loose skin, but still have the pouch, I'll find out.

Just remember, don't give up. Life happens and we get knocked down. But if we continue forward, then success is always possible.
