  Excellent video. <br><br>I&apos;d like to add that Meryl&apos;s motivation for being a soldier isn&apos;t her &quot;uncle&quot;, Campbell. Meryl believes that her father was killed in action. The truth is, Campbell slept with his brother&apos;s wife and is her true father (which I&apos;m sure you know). Meryl believes that her father was a hero who died in war, and naively wants to follow in his footsteps in an effort to understand who her father was. She explains it in the bathroom scene, if you&apos;d like my source. <br><br>Meryl soon realises that war isn&apos;t glorious or cool, and by the end of the game she renounces it entirely, her arc is seemingly complete. <br><br>However, Campbell ruins it. He reveals the truth to her, and all of those questions that she thought she had found an answer for, turned out to be a lie all along. So, she goes back to the military and by the time of MGS4, we see that her arc still isn&apos;t complete, she&apos;s still searching for her identity via war. Through the course of MGS4, she comes to terms with Campbell&apos;s betrayal, and settles down to get married.

  MGS1 ❤❤❤ will forever hold a very soft and special place in my mind n soul. Its pure nostalgia 1st played it was not more than 13 having noooo idea the indepth meaning of it i have played mgs1.2.3&amp;4. As old as it is i still rank it as number 1 for me..... a remake would be great n i feel it will be a hit.<br>MGS1 was ahead of its time and with PS1 it pushed game 🎮 &nbsp;play to another level.<br>RIP to those great days.<br>Hideo deserves his flowers now not later

  Great to see another metal gear channel. You should go through the movie that inspired metal gear, you can make boat loads of more content. I watched the man who would be king, and I saw some themes of the phantom pain.
