By far the most complete and balanced rpg I&apos;ve ever played. It had everything great about the genre and avoided all the negatives. A masterpiece. It&apos;s the crown jewel of the golden age of rpgs in my book.

The fact that this game wasn&apos;t included on the SNES Classic is a disappointment

I feel so lucky to have been a kid in the 90&apos;s and got to experience this on the snes with my friends.<br>No internet. No magazines.. just our imaginations to drive us. Ah man..

Trying to decide the best of something is pointless. Everyone has different likes and dislikes. But when something like Chrono Trigger comes along and is universally praised at the time and continues to be appreciated decades later by both original and new fans than you know something is truly great and timeless.

Imagine if Mitsuda hadn’t gone to Sakaguchi with an ultimatum. We’d be missing out on one of the greatest video game soundtracks of all time!
