It was my understanding that a tapered leader has a section of tippet at the end, no need to add , just replace as necessary.

Great Presentation. I feel ready to go now. :). Also you are a good speaker, no wasting our time with a lot of "uhms," "ughs," or repeating yourself. Thank you. Good information and well presented with clear graphics and succinct explanations.

Thank you so much for this. Just started fly fishing in the french Alps. Been out 5/6 times now and have come back every time and felt so confused with how to set up leader and tippet. euro nymphing? Indicator? lead weight? fluro carbon? putty? indicator line? Think I might now just try an indicator and Nymph. Still yet to get my first trout. Sticking with it though as I love just being out on the water in the mountains. Cant wait to catch my first fish!!

As an absolute beginner, this is just what I was after. Having gone out just once so far, I want to improve my presentation of my nymph and this tutorial will definitely help me do that. Subbed!
