Wish I didn’t know now what I didn’t know then is one of my favorite lines of all time.

I worked in small-market radio in the 1990s. One day, I got a phone call. It was Bob Seger! He seemed so down-to-earth and humble. He wanted to know if we had all of his albums. Being small-market we didn’t always get great service from the record labels, especially for older product. A few days later, we received a package from him with copies of all of his albums.

Uncle Bob helped raise us with his songs during the 70's & 80's.

This is what happens. When you are young, you like Bob's songs. When you get older, you FEEL Bob's songs. I'm 51 now, and "Like A Rock" kills me.

"Wish I didn't know now what I didn't know then." One of the best lines ever.

Moving 8 miles a minute for months at a time. That's how fast jetliners fly. I love that line.

Columbus, Ohio 2018, Bob was on his farewell tour. He was was 73 yrs old. At the end of the concert, Bob sat at the piano and sang this song to his sister who was in the audience . She had just lost her husband. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house😢
