Wish he had introduced Srikkanth as 1983 winning team Batsman AND 2011 winning team Chief Selector . He is funny, but more than anything he was a honest cricketer and administrator who played a big part in both India's World Cup wins!!

 I remember very well.
In 1978, October. Kapil Dev was 19 years old He was sitting in the Coffee Shop of TAJ Hotel in Delhi.
TAJ was new in Delhi . Only resturant open in TAJ was the coffee shop.
I saw Kapil Dev sitting there all alone . As he was new to Cricket very few recognized him .
I was sitting on the table opposite . I saw Kapil Dev very shy , alone and modest.
In 1983-- I saw the whole Cricket match on TV in England. I was staying with my friend in Summer.
Then I went to Sri Lanka from UK. in 1983.To my fortune, The Sri Lanka Team was in the same plane was their coach Gary Sobers .
I remember that flight so well.
Lovely to see them together here in your show Kapil

Highlights of 1983 World Cup final :
1.Kapils heroics catch.
2.Srikant's shot of the tournament.
3.Sandhu's wickets.
4. Amarnath's all-round performance.
5. Binny's wickets.
Main thing to note :
India won all the matches in which Gavaskar played. He was the Lucky Charm of the Team. World Cup final is still green in my memory.
