Have just returned from kedarnath after doing darshan on 26th April. My suggestion to people is that either you don't go there or go at your own risk. Even if you have surpassed the tough and risky trek , you have to stand in the queue for not less than 12 hours for darshan, not because dham is experiencing too much crowd but because of VIP darshan and paid darshan that's been offered by pandas to people who can pay minimum 3k for the vip darshans. Medical facilities there are just gimmicks for the show purpose, they are of no use. You'll be only considered a patient there only if you're in a dying condition. Also one very important advice is do not book gmvn ground bedded tents specially because they are pathetic and do not provide any comfort or warmth in that weather of -10°. It's better you opt for private tents that are way more cheap and provide heaters and quilts for sleeping.
