My 14yr old son has started taking after you. This is meant to be a compliment as I like your methods and the fact that you don't have to be a perfectionist to get on the water. You just have to get on the water. He bought his first fiberglass boat for $500, it came with 2 motors 6hp Johnson and another electric trolling motor. He's happy and spending hours on the water fishing now.

I love how the performance parts slowed the boat down. Like yeah, they're creating lift to plane you out, but they're also introducing drag through the water.

We actually have had a manatee a few times in the Chesapeake Bay. The first time they spent a ton of money and flew him back to Florida. The radio tracker showed he came back to the Chesapeake Bay the next year. Chesapeake Bay is a great place.

"Believe me, my friend, there is nothing – absolutely nothing – half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats"
