Barry is and always will be the GREATEST RUNNING BACK OF ALL TIMES. I'M A 9ER FAN AND EVERY TIME they'd played. I wanted the W but I also wanted Barry to RUN WILD ON US, BECAUSE EVERY MOVEMENT OF HIS WE WERE BLESSED TO SEE...........WAS EPIC, DEFYING THE LAWS OF PHYSICS.

As a lifelong Lions fan it’s pretty much sickening how inept the Lions front office was. You had 10 years to build an O line and defense around the GOAT and couldn’t get it done. Sad really.

I got to watch Billie Sims and Barry Sanders run while attending Lion's games. The story when Barry left was that he had a handshake agreement with Mr. Ford. Mr. Ford backed out. Barry would not do business with such low character people and went home. A man of integrity and the best player to ever carry the ball sums it up about perfectly.

What greatness owed the game? What the game owed greatness ! The way he retired n my opinion is a humble spirit !

Barry sat on the bench knowing he could have gone to grab a sixth rushing title, but he told coach he was good.

He’s the GOAT. Even behind below average o-lines. Which makes him a step above the rest of the guys who usually come up in the convos who had, more often than not, above league average run blocking o-lines.
