Both cracking bikes for the money. The consumer has never had so much choice.

For me either the CF moto or the new Voge 900 also looks like a cracking bike.

It would be the Suzuki for me, especially as all the extras leave me cold, I'm in the less is more camp everytime. My bike has two extras ABS and me.

I’ve got Vstrom 650 so I’m a bit of Vstrom man. I’ve ridden the DE a few times and it’s a brilliant bike. That new engine is exceptional. If I had to choose I’d go for the more road focused RE version. It’s a bit lighter and cheaper too. Seat height is lower at 825mm. I would like to try the CF Moto though.

It’s down to personal preference really. Boring old world if we all like the same thing. At those prices the second hand market is going to suffer me thinks.

Hey up, your mate there at 6'4" I bet it's blooming cold up there, bet he's turned the heating on. Joking aside, nice bike.

I'm tempted but more to go wrong tech wise , true of most bikes. Bikes on my radar at the moment... RE Himalayan 450, Motto Guzzi V7 or V85TT, and the Suzuki GSX8R Twin. A friend has a CFMoto, he loves it, over a year old not probs, but servicing and general bits have been a pain, for him at least. However, out of these two you mention I'd have the established VStrom for sure

My big thing living in NZ where Cf Moto have a really good dealer network isn't reliability, we know its good, the big thing is growing fears of china invading Taiwan, experts reckon this will happen around 2027, then you will have trade sanctions and won't be abke to get parts.

HI all, if I was 10 years younger, this would be a tricky choice, but alas I'm happier on a lighter 500cc Honda nowadays, the one thing I would also consider, will the Suzuki have a better residual value in a couple of years time? Time will tell i guess.

Well presented TBW. A tough call indeed.
Personally, I've had an early version CFmoto 650MT & it was extremely cheap, well built for the price but nowhere near the tech of your model. In Australia, it's considered a A2 limited power but ran very well.
Ironically, I now have a Suzuki GSX-8S & while it is considerably more expensive, the build quality, brand reputation & resale will be better. But not by much.
I do love your version more so.
Cheers

Mmm, tough choice. I’ve got the v strom 650 2016 and I love it. Nearly bought the Royal Enfield super meteor but dealer welched on the part x.
