  There are a couple of VASTLY overlooked things going on here.<br>First. Nobody has brought up the pre-draft process and the flirtation with the Giants and the Vikings. If you were the Giants and the Vikings and wanted Maye, during the pre-draft process and the interviews, you are going to wooo Maye any way you can because the only way the Patriots are going to move off that #3 pick to take him is if Maye doesnt want to be in NE. So, the Vikings and Giants are going to tell Maye everything he wants to hear, no doubt inclusive of &quot;If you end up with us, you will get to play the way you always have, we will build the offense around you&quot;. Which is EXACTLY what Maye wants to hear because he knows he&apos;s not that good to begin with. ADDITIONALLY, the Giants and Vikings made it abundantly clear to Maye that in NE, they would make him a pocket passer, which Maye wants no part off. This was widely reinforced by the Patriots, who not only told him that, but also that Maye had a lot of work to do. There has never been any information on how close the Patriots came to trading the pick OR if Maye and his camp made it known to the Patriots that he didnt feel the Patriots system was best for him and wanted to be moved to the Giant or the Vikings. There is no tampering int he pre-draft process, these team could tell Maye anything they wanted to and now, every time Maye is in a situation with the Patriots, he thinks back to the pre-draft, he thinks back to the Vikings and the Giants and thinks about being able to do all the things the Giants and Vikings told him he would be able to do there, then looks at all the things in NE that he doesnt want to be doing....AND HE CHECK OUT BECAUSE HE DOESNT WANT TO BE A PATRIOT. &nbsp;Which is why, in the phone call when the 3 pick was being made, Elliot Wolf calls Maye and doesnt say: &quot;Congratulations on being a Patriot!&quot;, he says &quot;Are you ready to do this....&quot; Why.....What was the other option.... Trading the pick to the Giants or the Vikings and there had been discussions about it.<br><br>Also. Maye has taken a lot of shots to the head. He has been concussed, that you know of, at least 3 times since he&apos;s been a Patriots.....that you know of. Who knows how many times he&apos;s been concussed prior to his professional career. These things add up. Maybe he finally took one shot too many.
