You know, as the days go by in this place,

there has always been one question on my mind.

Who is it, truly?

I always feel like we're being watched,

the others tell me not to worry,

but I know they aren't feeling any better than I am.

Who is it- what, is it?

Does it talk,

does it laugh,

does it breathe,

does it think?

What are we really dealing with?

No one is supposed to be here,

no one is supposed to know this place had ever existed,

but, somehow it has.

And we've been walking over it, oblivious this whole time.

I wish I had lived life more whole-heartedly.

But that doesn't matter anymore, does it?

Who is it...

what even is it?

Is it a person?

An animal?

The ground,

the sky,

the air?!

We spat in it's presence, laughed at the thought of it's twisted rule,

all to make us feel more comfortable.

Yet somehow, it's still above us,

unmoving, always watching.

What is it?

What does it look like?

Does it know about our suffering?

Does it care?

I guess only time will tell.

As each day is another page being told in this forsaken tale.
