With Eikthyr behind us, it's time to start preparing for the next stage of our survival journey. That means venturing into the Black Forest, raiding burial chambers for Surtling Cores, and finally getting our metal production up and running. In **Episode 3**, we're working toward our first proper metal equipment upgrades. We explore burial chambers in search of the Surtling Cores needed to build a Charcoal Kiln and Smelter. Once our new production facilities are up and running, we head back into the Black Forest to search for our first deposits of copper and tin. Of course, exploring unfamiliar territory without a proper plan is rarely a good idea. As I push deeper into the Black Forest looking for metal, I venture a little too far from home and end up caught out as night falls. With nowhere safe to go, the episode comes to an end with me spending the night inside a crypt, hoping to survive until morning. *In this episode:* Exploring burial chambers and clearing crypts Hunting for Surtling Cores Building our first Charcoal Kiln and Smelter Searching the Black Forest for our first copper and tin deposits Pushing exploration a little too far from home Getting caught out after dark Taking shelter in a crypt for the night *Mods featured:* Epic Loot Elite Creatures Reborn 🎮 *Game:* Valheim ⚔️ *Playthrough:* Complete Offline Playthrough 📺 *Format:* Full gameplay recorded specifically for YouTube The journey continues as we work toward better equipment, explore increasingly dangerous territory, and discover what our modded Valheim world has in store for us next.
