  12:24AM, a victory. His opponent quits mid-match, but Ken doesn’t feel it. No goblin curse to amplify his win, no extra thrill from the damage. The game feels flat, and the trophies he earned long ago are just symbols of a hollow chase. He hits the accelerator, not because of the rush, but because he’s avoiding the fact that yesterday, he hit an orphan child with his car.

  He struggles to breathe. The goblin curse is no longer in his deck. And that means his life force is gone. He falls onto his knees, clutching his throat, trying to force air into his rapidly shriveling lungs. His vision blurs as he falls onto his face...<br>He utters unintelligible words as his brain starts going numb from the lack of air. <br>Someone rolls him over and whispers into his ear....&quot;Damage amplification.....&quot;, and walks away. He looks at the sky only to see an evo mega knight&apos;s rear end rapidly approaching his fragile, vulnerable face.
