I graduated college in May 1973 and bought 1973 Pontiac LeMans off show room floor in fall of that year. I got married in Fall of 1975 and that LeMans looked great with cans and streamers. Car is gone but still married to same gal and this will be our 50 year anniversary this fall. Thanks for reminding me of my first new car.

My guess is that someone put 350 heads on the 455 to raise the compression ratio up . This is probably why the engine is detonating so bad when it gets overheated.
